Oh gawd! I am sooooo sore! Yesterday we had a Team Meeting that was scheduled from 12noon to 5pm! We all were not looking forward to it! They even flew people who support us from all over the country, Minneapolis, Iowa, Florida, St Louis, in. One thing we can't stand is listening to a bunch of bigwigs showing us some dumb reorg charts, slide shows, and saying how well the bank is doing and then in the same breath telling us that no one will get any raises this year. However, to our astonishment, the slide presentation and speech was a total of 5 min. We were then told we were getting into a bus for a trip. As thanks and appreciation for all our jobs on the current projects we were taken to a Go Kart raceway. Once there, we signed up and put on our jump suits, took a prep video course telling us about the flags and their meanings, sported our helmets, and we were coralled onto the track and into the GoKarts. Then the race was on! It was indoors and I could hardly breathe with that helmet on. The visor kept getting fogged up and I couldn't see. I impacted the wall of pylons so hard at one point that the flagman standing on them fell off. Then another time, I was going so fast I didn't have time to brake and my kart flew right on top of another kart with the wheel coming within inches of the driver's head. Lucky for me, I got off and took off. Needless to say, it was awesome. Another funny aspect was that a new girl started yesterday. She seems a little high-strung and is at no loss for words. We were all astonished that she came in 2nd place and she had some choice words about the guy who beat her out. On another note, Jack refused to race. He knew better! Me an my colleagues were poised to clobber him on the track. .....I did poorly in the 1st standings, I came in 7th out of 10 and then only slightly better in the 2nd round, 5th out of 9. Some of the guys from MN really should have their licenses revoked. >: I have a newfound respect for those NASCAR racers! My arms were numb when I left, and now they are sore. And we sweat like pigs in those jump suits.

We just got back from an appreciation lunch. Bet this new girl must think we do this all the time! Nice Italian place.

Thanks for sharing the pics ady! Although, I think you look just a tad older than 18! :rollin

Hope you all are doing good.
